Repoblar el campo – returning to the land!
2 years ago a group of young people started occupying an abandoned village in the mountains near Murcia. These rural peasants work hard to restore the old houses, irrigation channels and terraces, take care of the abandoned olive/pomegranate trees, herding goats, baking bread, etc.. Watch soon!
In Spain the rural exodus is very obvious: there are more than 3000 abandoned villages and many more village only have a few inhabitants. A great challenge and opportunity!
